In 2015, we created with a group of motivated players, the first adult Chess League in Shanghai. The Shanghai Chess League was conceived with two goals in mind: creating a warm community of fellow Shanghai chess players, and creating an environment in which everyone, from beginner to master, can learn and improve their chess. The league is played at 50 min time controls to allow for slower, more meaningful games.
For my part, I take care of tournament refereeing, helping players to analyze their games by giving them advice, but also by presenting lessons on the overhead projector so that everyone can progress.
